Welcome to the Boitumelong Senior Secondary School's website.We are a government school situated in Tembisa, a township in the Gauteng Province of South Africa.
The school is servicing a very poor community with most of our learners having single parents who are unemployed.
These parents are making very little financial contribution to the school due to their social standing and the school has to rely solely on the funds allocated by the GDE to all Section 21 schools. The school boast beautiful buildings and well cared for surroundings but is lacking as far as teaching resources are concerned. We encourage you the viewer to read on for we have quite a lot of interesting features to share about ourselves
To promote quality education which will enable our learners to acquire new knowledge and skills so as to enhance their personal performance and ensure the achievement of high standards.

OUR HISTORY
The school was established at the beginning of 1975 as a sister school to Tembisa High School which was the only high school that existed in Tembisa during that period. Boitumelong Junior Secondary School as the school was later named, became the second post primary school in Tembisa it offered classes up to the then Junior Certificate level.
